Is there a way to overcome this issue? Our animators rely on Cached Playback, so disabling/not using it is not a viable option for us. For now, I simply make a selection set of Controls with Simulation to turn off Follow Sim and a selection set of hairSystem nodes to change Simulation Method to "Off" or "Static" for basically turing off the the simulation, so the Cached Playback is active again while working on body animation. But I was wondering, is there (/could there be) a more convenient way of dealing with this problem?

In rrm3_installers_BETA_2023_07_02, you can set the "Static", "Passive" and "Dynamic" simulation modes in both the RRM3 Selector and RRM3 Marking Menu.
This feature will likely be useful to others so I put it in a blog post for increased visibility: https://www.rapidrig.com/post/to-sim-or-not-to-sim Dustin
